Apex Application Example- High Temperature Furnace
One of the great benefits of the Apex Mass Flow Controller, Apex Mass Flowmeters
and Apex Vacuum Pressure Controllers is how we can for a low cost provide
communications and control systems through RS 232 connections and a computer.
Recently, one of our customers took his vacuum tube furnace application to
demonstrate how the Apex Products could be used to control the vacuum and gas
flow through his system.
Picture below shows the two Apex MFC's. They then connect to the BB9 Junction
Box. This BB9 Junction Box can be seen connecting to the computer in Fig 3. The
Apex Remote Display displays pressure from the Apex Vacuum Pressure Controller
in Fig 2. Up to 9 Apex Devices (Mass Flow Controllers, Mass Flow Meters or Vacuum
Pressure Controllers) can be added to this system. Up to 26 can be added to one
addressable RS 232 connection on one computer.
